Submission Guidelines
Tindal Street Press publishes excellent contemporary fiction from the English regions – which means that the manuscripts that interest us most have an English centre of gravity outside of London and the south-east.
If you are unsure whether your work counts as ‘regional’ then please call us on 0121 773 8157 or email editorial@tindalstreet.co.uk.
We publish around six adult fiction titles a year. We will not consider poetry, children’s, sci-fi, fantasy or romance.
To submit a manuscript please send a synopsis and the first 3 chapters of a novel to:

Short stories can only be considered if presented as a coherent, complete collection.
Please send hard-copy submissions only (ie: a print-out by post rather than email), with a covering letter and return postage.
Because of the volume of submissions we receive we are not able to acknowledge unsolicited submissions. Due to the high number of submissions we receive weekly, we aim to respond to unsolicited submissions within six months.

Hello. Good work Tindal Street Press. Your welcome titles are such dignified challenges to the domination of London's publishing houses. I very much enjoyed What Was Lost, by Catherine O'Flynn, and look forward to reading Beauty.
