Tindal Street Press authors feature in 2009 Christmas Books Round Ups

News item

We are pleased to report that two of Tindal Street’s authors – Fiona Shaw and Anthony Cartwright – have been put forward as Books of 2009 in the Christmas literary round ups of two national newspapers.

Fiona Shaw’s book, Tell it to the Bees, was chosen by Lesley Glaister (Are You She?) in The Sunday Herald’s feature, 2009: a year in chapter and verse. Lesley says that she ‘couldn’t put down’ Fiona’s book, and that ‘it’s an original and impeccably written love story with real emotional depth.’

Heartland, by Anthony Cartwright, was put forward by David Peace (The Damned United) in the Saturday Guardian’s Christmas Book Choice. Peace’s nomination reflects the excellent reception that Heartland has received since its publication, having been also chosen as a BBC Four Book at Bedtime. You can read the full round up here.

We hope you agree that this is excellent news for Tindal Street Press and its authors!
