You are warmly invited to the launch of Candi Miller’s wonderful, southern Africa-set novel, Kalahari Passage, at Waterstone’s New Street on Thursday 1st September.

The follow-up to Salt and Honey, Kalahari Passage tells the story of Koba – a young woman from the San tribe of southern Africa – whose relationship with the son of a white farming family sees her forcibly repatriated from apartheid South Africa to the Kalahari Desert.

‘A very strong and admirable novel’ – Christopher Hope

‘A powerful and evocative tale with moments of real magic. I was entranced’ – Amanda Smyth

‘A cast of characters to make you care; a superb evocation of time and place’ – Rachel Holmes, author of The Hottentot Venus

We hope that you will join us to hear Candi read from and discuss her novel, and to raise a glass to its success.

If you would like to attend, please RSVP to Rikhi Ubhi at rikhi@tindalstreet.co.uk or on 0121 773 8157.
