Gaynor Arnold, author of Girl in a Blue Dress, will be appearing at this year’s Sunday Times Oxford Literary Festival, in the event ‘Behind Every Successful Man…’.

Gaynor will be discussing wives and mothers in history and fiction with fellow alumnae of St. Hilda’s College, Oxford, journalist and radio presenter Christine Finn and Nicolette Jones, Chair of the St. Hilda’s Media Network. The event is part of St Hilda’s College day at the festival.

Girl in a Blue Dress won Gaynor Arnold much acclaim for her fascinating reimagining of the complex married life of Charles Dickens and his wife, Catherine, while Christine Finn has written extensively on Barack Obama’s mother, Ann Dunham, and on archaeologist and broadcaster Jacquetta Hawkes, the wife of J.B. Priestley.

‘Behind Every Successful Man…’ will be taking place at Christ Church, Oxford, on the 27th March, at 10am. To book tickets for what promises to be an entertaining and interesting discussion, please visit the Sunday Times Oxford Literary Festival website. Tickets are priced at £10.
